Schon im jungen Alter fing ich an zu sammeln. Ob Muscheln, Federn, später Steine, Mineralien, Antiquitäten Stammeskunst und Trophäen, ich schleppte immer etwas neues nach Hause.
Ich wuchs in mehreren Teilen der Welt auf welches eine Affinität zu bestimmten Gebieten und Kulturen führte. Afrika und (Süd Ost) Asien gelten als meine Hauptinteressen obwohl ich auch anderen Sammelgebieten nicht abgeneigt bin. Ich habe den indonesischen Teil von Papua Neuguinea mehrmals bereist und hatte Glück mit meinem guten Freund Kal Muller, eine Koryphäe auf dem Gebiet der Kamoro und Asmat, diverse Flussläufe zu erkunden. Die meisten Gegenstände wurden vor Ort bei den Stämmen gesammelt, andere stammen aus Privatsammlungen und anderen Quellen.
Growing up, I always had a passion for collecting. Whether it was shells, feathers, later rocks, minerals, trophies and finally tribal art and antiques, I always ended up taking things home. I have grown up in several parts of the world, thus creating an affinity to certain areas and cultures. Africa and (South East) Asia are currently my main fields of interest although I also like to get my hands on other treasures and curiosities. I have visited the Indonesian part of Papua New Guinea several times and was lucky enough to join on some expeditions with my good friend Kal Muller who is affiliated with the Kamoro and Asmat.
Most items were field collected on site although sometimes objects are bought from private collections and other sources.
